INSTRUCTIONS FOR SETTING UP THE 90i
Install the software
1. download and install the most recent i-Control software and updates.
2. manually load drivers if necessary .
3. C:\windows\system32\?
4. c:\programfiles\Nikon\shared\drivers\Imicusb.sys and dsCamUsb.sys
ISetup
1. Give configuration a name
2. Tell software which objectives, filters, etc. are where
3. make sure z-focus for parfocality is turned on
iControl
1. setting>focus setting adjust focus for each objective
2. setting>profile>Give it a name i.e. ”pathology”
3. turn “user memory” on for field stop and condenser diaphragm
4. go to each diaphragm, etc., adjust it, and higt “memory” so that the little yellow dot goes on top of the slider.
5. when all the settings have been adjusted, check the ‘all’ box and hit ‘send’ to put the settings on to the microscope.
If Microscope is turned off it will always boot up into default factory settings mode. You need the DS interface box and either PC or LI controller to reload the customer settings.
